Birds and other books

Even if you don't like birds or books (oh, heavens, don't not like books!) please read Cindy Crosby's "Chuckleheads and Timberdoodles?" in the most recent Books and Culture. This review of The Birdwatcher's Companion to North American Birdlife is a treat, and most reviews aren't treats. So brew a cup of tea, grab your binoculars, and learn a few new vocabulary words from Crosby's lovely paragraphs.

Haven't read the review yet, but you have just taken your dorkness to a whole new level.

(Cute dorkness, of course.)

Aww, shucks.

The worth of the science here is without question; more difficult to quantify about the book is the value of the memories it inspires.

Very philosophical for the review of a Bird Book. I like it! Cindy Crosby needs to be your next literary friendship-acquisition, now that you and LW are BFF! *grin*

CC is already BF with LW, so acquiring her as another BF shouldn't be hard :) Six degrees of separation, you know? And I have heard her speak once, so that should count for something.

Good pic for quotation. . . .

Oh no you didn't.

Wait, that was supposed to be "pick" above. Not "pic" for the Brent/Kat comment.

And Sic, for your information, yes I did. Ooooh, yes, I did.
